A touch of Italy
The old town centre of Nice makes you think of Italy. While walking through the narrow streets edged with old houses and Baroque style monuments, you’d think you’d be in Italy, if people didn’t speak French. The seafront and the Promenade des Anglais are remainders of the time when the English high society came to spend the winter in the stunning luxury hotels of the town. Besides the pebble beaches, Nice is a town of art that attracted the biggest artists, as can be discovered in museums dedicated to Chagall and Matisse. With the 3rd biggest airport of France, Nice is also an ideal arrival point of the Côte d'Azur.
